• We are pleased to inform you that the Forestville Central School District will be implementing a meal certification option available to schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs for the 2024-2025 school year! All students enrolled at Forestville Elementary School and Forestville Middle/High School are eligible to receive a healthy breakfast and lunch at school at no charge to your household each day of the 2024-2025 school year. No further action is required of you. Your child(ren) will be able to participate in these meal programs without having to pay a fee or submit an application.

What does this mean for our district?

All students, elementary and middle/high school,  receive one free breakfast and lunch daily for the school year. This provision is through June 30, 2027.

Students must have money on their My School Bucks account to purchase a second meal or a la carte items. NO Charging.

We no longer need to process free/reduced applications. However, acceptance into the free and reduced lunch program can also help you in other ways. PSAT, SAT, and ACT test fees are waived. Many colleges waive their application fees as well for participants in the program. In addition to these benefits, the number of students eligible for free or reduced-priced meals plays an important role in the school’s eligibility for Federal and State Funding. Those numbers are also used for a variety of purposes, including competing for grants. If your household income has decreased or the size of your household has increased, we encourage you to apply right away. You may apply at any time during the school year. Applications and full criteria are available in the main offices of each school, on our website at www.forestville.com, or you may call 716-965-6539 to request one be sent to you.
