Forestville Elementary School is in partnership with parents and the community to actively promote continuous academic growth in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • Welcome Back to School!

    Dear Forestville Elementary Families,

We are so excited to welcome you back for another wonderful school year! Our hallways and classrooms are ready, and our staff is eager to greet students with smiles, encouragement, and lots of enthusiasm for learning.

This year, you can expect a smooth start with few changes from last year. We know that consistency helps our students thrive, and we are thrilled to continue building on the great things already happening at Forestville Elementary. We are excited to announce that we’ve officially added Sarah Pearson, Music/Chorus Teacher, and Elizabeth Barter, Librarian, to our Forestville Elementary Staff!

One area that continues to be at the heart of our work is student behavior and school culture. At Forestville Elementary, we use PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) to set clear expectations for students: being respectful, responsible, safe, and kind. Teachers and staff will continue using Class Dojo points as our “Hornet Bucks”—students can earn points for positive behavior and then use them for rewards and celebrations. We will also be honoring students at our Hornet Hero assemblies each quarter, where students are recognized for consistently showing respect, responsibility, safety, and kindness. These celebrations not only make school fun, but they also reinforce the values we want our students to carry into the classroom, at home, and in the community.

As principal, my goal is always to guide students toward making positive choices while maintaining high expectations. When discipline issues do arise, I believe in a process that is firm, fair, and focused on growth. Students are given the opportunity to reflect on their choices, repair relationships if harm was caused, and learn strategies to do better next time. Consequences are consistent, but they also come with conversations and support to ensure every child feels safe, respected, and capable of success.

Most of all, we look forward to the joy, growth, and community that each new school year brings. Thank you for your continued partnership and support—you play such an important role in making our school a warm and welcoming place for all students.

Here’s to an exciting and successful year ahead!

    With Hornet Pride,
