• NYS Masks

Yesterday, Governor Andrew Cuomo held a news briefing and reported that the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has advised against changing the state’s requirements for schools regarding wearing of masks indoors. Accordingly, there will be no change in indoor mask requirements.

Students and staff will be required to always wear masks while in a school building or riding in a school bus.

However, the State did adjust the guidance for mask use during outdoor activities.  Masks will no longer be required while outdoors on school property if physical distancing is maintained.

If you would like your child to continue to wear a mask for outdoor activities, please contact the main office.

“Yesterday, Governor Cuomo held a press conference and reported that the Centers for Disease Control has advised against changing the state’s requirements for schools regarding wearing of masks indoors and while on the school bus.  Masks will still be required for everyone on school property while indoors unless students are eating or taking a mask break.

The state did adjust the guidance for mask use during outdoor activities.  Masks will no longer be required while outdoors on school property if physical distancing is maintained.  If you would like to continue to require your child or children to wear a mask while outdoors, be sure to call the Main Office.  Otherwise, all students while on school property outdoors with physical distancing will no longer be required to wear a mask.

Just to repeat, we will require masks while students are indoors and on school buses.  Masks will no longer be required while students are outdoors.”
