Dear Forestville Families,  

Welcome to a new school year! There is something special about the beginning of a new year—the excitement of seeing familiar faces, welcoming new students and families, and opening our doors for another year of learning, growing, and making memories together. 

At Forestville Elementary, we want every child to walk through our doors knowing that they belong here, that they are cared for, and that we believe in their ability to be successful. Our staff is committed to creating classrooms where students feel safe taking risks, trying something new, making mistakes, and discovering just how much they are capable of achieving. 

Our Hornet expectations will continue to guide us throughout the year: Be Respectful. Be Responsible. Be Safe. Be Kind. Through our PBIS program, students will be recognized for demonstrating these expectations throughout the school day. Students can earn “Hornet Bucks” through Class Dojo and will have opportunities to participate in rewards and celebrations. We will also continue our Hornet Hero celebrations to recognize students who consistently demonstrate what it means to be a Forestville Hornet. 

Just as importantly, we know that elementary school is about much more than academics. It is where children learn how to be good friends, solve problems, advocate for themselves, persevere when something is difficult, celebrate one another, and become contributing members of their community. We take seriously the responsibility of helping our students develop those skills while providing the support, encouragement, and high expectations they need along the way. 

One of Forestville Elementary's greatest strengths is the partnership between our school, our families, and our community. Please know that our doors are always open. We value your questions, your ideas, your involvement, and the trust you place in us each day when you send your children through our doors. 

I am incredibly proud to serve as the principal of Forestville Elementary and excited for all that this year will bring. I look forward to seeing our students fill the hallways again and watching them learn, grow, laugh, create, and make us proud.
