This is an important message from Forestville Central School District.
The health and safety of our students and staff is our top priority. With that in mind, the purpose of this call is to inform you that a staff member at Forestville Central School has tested positive for COVID-19. The last time the staff member was at school was on October 22, 2020. At that time, the staff member did not have any symptoms.
The Chautauqua County Department of Health (DOH) has been notified and is taking further steps. The affected individual has been isolated and the DOH is identifying and contacting those individuals identified as close contacts by the DOH.
We are working with the health department and are taking all recommended steps to ensure the safety of our students and staff. Steps we are implementing in cooperation with the DOH include the following:
The District cannot release any further details due to the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability & Accounting Act (HIPAA) requirements. However, we will provide further updates if additional steps need to be taken by the District.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in accordance with Executive Order 202.1, please be advised that members of the public will not be permitted to attend Board of Education meetings in person. In addition, the meeting will be recorded and transcribed at a later date and be available on this website.
