In September, Forestville was named one of ten finalist schools for the Kenny Award. This award is open to every school in Western New York and goes to the Musical production deemed to be the best. It is an excellent achievement to be named a finalist! Last evening at the Kenny Nomination Ceremony, Forestville was also named one of four finalists for individual and group awards. Forestville was nominated for OUTSTANDING ORCHESTRAL PERFORMANCE and for OUTSTANDING SCENIC DESIGN. In addition, Josh Ellis was nominated as a finalist for OUTSTANDING ACTOR IN A LEADING ROLE. If he is selected the winner, Josh will represent Western New York in the National Jimmys Award Competition in New York City in June. He would spend an entire week in NYC and have the opportunity to perform on Broadway. To be one of four finalists for this award is a fantastic achievement for Josh! We will find out on Kenny day, May 14th if we were chosen as the winner of any of these awards.
If anyone is interested in attending that event, it is at 7:00PM at Sheas in Buffalo on May 14th. Presale tickets are $8.00 or $10.00 at the door,
