------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
On behalf of the Forestville Central School District, Board of Education, faculty and staff, allow me to wish the entire Forestville school community a happy and safe summer!
The next few months the district administration and managerial staff will be actively planning for the return of students in September. This includes conducting building maintenance, upgrading technology, and setting curriculum initiatives. We look forward to the completion of the energy performance project that provided for a new boiler system in the elementary school and lighting upgrades throughout the district including many classrooms and both gymnasiums. This project was completed at no cost to district residents. Beginning in September, we will introduce a new teacher and principal evaluation system that will provide us with additional information for making decisions that will improve student learning.
I also want to thank the entire school community for their continued support of our school district. The Board of Education and I are acutely aware of the challenging financial situation that currently exists. Over the summer, we will continue to investigate ways to provide our students with an appropriate education while finding ways to do it in a more efficient manner.
If you have any questions, or have an opportunity to stop by this summer, I would love to discuss our plans further. You can also contact me at 965-2742 or joconnor@forestville.com
Sincerely,

John O’Connor
