Welcome to Miss Pettit'sPhysical Education ClassroomPhysical Education – The goal of physical education is to teach students a variety of skills, techniques, and strategies that will allow them to lead active lifestyles after high school. Through skill lessons, lead up games, team sports, individual sports, recreational and fitness activities it is our hope that each student discovers something he/she enjoys and will want to continue practicing after they leave Forestville.
Learning expands beyond sports as students learn life skills such as group cooperation, leadership, sportsmanship, and self-efficacy.
Activities for the year include: volleyball, fitness, project adventure, team handball, basketball, badminton, floor hockey, dance, soccer, kan jam, football, softball/baseball and various team games. Skills and written tests will be administered during units. Outside writing assignments will be assigned occasionally. This includes developing a personal fitness plan. Fitness tests will be administered each quarter, testing student’s in the five components of fitness.I missed a day of PE what do I do?Find a time, afterschool or during a studyhall, to make up the missed class. You can partake in the activity done by another class duning school or workout on the treadmill or rower after school.
